JT - Let Me Groove U - (Extended Mix) 1991

To end the New York House week,  today and tomorrow are going to be dedicated to Master at Work (MAW). For those that don't know how MAW came about here is a bit of MAW cut and pasted from DISCOGS.

"In 1987, Kenny "Dope" Gonzalez loaned out the name Masters At Work (a street party alias he was using with Mike Delgado) to Todd Terry for the 1987 singles "Alright Alright" and "Dum Dum Cry". Terry returned the favour one year later by introducing Gonzalez to Little Louie Vega. They then took up the Masters At Work moniker and did rather well out of it."

During the 90s, especially the early 90s MAW where very prolific remixers. Name virtually anyone and they probably remixed them.  They were known for doing multiple remixes of tracks.  There dub remixes were legendary.  Alongside their own original productions. They covered virtually every type of 'dance' genre. although most people know them for their New York House style.

This video was a popular track with Smoking Jo down Trade in 1991 / 1992. This one goes out to Eastlondonboy who spotted on the on Smokin Jo @ Trade 1992 mix Posted a while back.

Expect more videos and mixes throughout the weekend. As Sunday is usually chill out day on the blog I will be focusing more on MAWs New Yorican Soul alias.

Enjoy.
