90s Garage mix.

This is another of those mixes that I do not know where I got it from.  So if anyone has any idea who did it please get in touch so that i can acknowledge the DJ.

This is a long nearly four hour mix of underground US house and Garage.  Imagine early doors at Trade and the upstairs room @ Heaven and you are there.

A cool selection of well mixed tunes.

Enjoy.

Lawrence Malice Trade interview.

Just before the Last Dance @ Trade Turnmills.  Trades mighty leader Lawrence Malice talks about his times running Trade.  The history from beginning to end.

As expected the soundtrack to this two part interview is amazing and full of Trade anthems.

It is a fascinating interview full of fun anecdotes by one of clublands most charismatic and forward thinking club promoters.  Along with snippets from Trade DJs.

Enjoy.

Gonzalo - Gonzalothon 10 hour set Trade @ Turnmills 2001.

Apart from Tony de Vit and EJ Doubell.  Gonzalo was the only other DJ to have the honour of playing from beginning to end at Trade.

In 2001 he played a full 10 hour set over Xmas at the club.

Unfortunately although the set was recorded it seems that only this one hour segment is of good enough quality to hear.

If that really is the case then make the most of this gorgeous one set of hard trancy dance music as its amazing.

If however, anyone out there has more of the set recorded please get in touch.

Enjoy.

Andrew Weatherall - Bloodsugar 7.

I have been going through my iTunes and found some forgotten gems.  Amongst those mixes  i found a number of Andrew Weatherall rarities.  This first of which is this mix.

Bloodsugar was a club run by Andrew Weatherall and his Sabresonic record label.  Although primarily a Techno club.  Andrew Weatheral being who he is would never stick rigidly to the Techno template.

The nights would often start with reggae an other assorted mellower vibes.

As a side note, Noel Gallagher was a regular at the club along with the likes of Primal Scream.

I will be posting more Weatherall mixes over the coming weeks.

Enjoy.

Happy 20th birthday Tripoli Trax.

Celebrating 20 years of the most forward thinking non generic Hard House label.

Enjoy.

Tripoli Trax mixes - official.

Hello and happy belated new year to everyone.

As a special gift to you (by proxy) please follow the link at the end of the post.

Where will it take me you ask?

It will take you to the Soundcloud page of for the original Hard House record label Tripoli Trax.  They have very kindly added on their page for free download all the official Tripoli Trax compilations.

Anyone with a passing interest in the harder end of house will know that this label was there from the beginning.  IMO it was the in house label for Trade (the birthplace of Hard House).  I cannot think of a single Trade DJ (from the early years) who didn't contribute to the label at some point.

These free mixes are mixed by w who's who of legendary Trade DJs.  Steve Thomas, Pete Wardman, DJ Ziad, Rachel Auburn and so on.

Play these mixes from in order and it is interesting to see how Hard House has progressed over the last 20 years.

As a point of interest the label originated from Pure Groove Record shop.  Where Daz Saund worked behind the counter in the early 90s.

Download them whist you can as i am not sure how long they will remain free.

Enjoy.
