Chill Out (Complete Mix) - The KLF

This is one of the greatest chill out records ever. Here it is in its complete version on Youtube. I used to love listening to this when home from a club. I remember walking home after a heavy night, it was about 6am and i had this on my walkman. It sounds a bit silly now but walking through the woods listening to this as the sun was just starting to wake up was a really lovely moment.

Masters At Work

Favourite own remix?

I change my mind all the time, but right now it's "Come Fly With Me" DJ Pierre.

Favourite all time 90s club?

The Haçienda (until it sadly closed)

What clubs do you play at now?

I play all over the UK and beyond. Find out where by visiting http://thisisgraemepark.com

Have you ever played in Ibiza? if so when, where and what was it like?

Regularly since 1989. An incredible place. It's changed a lot now though. It used to be about the club and the DJ but now it's more about the brand.

My partner Stuart was lucky enough to see him in action at the Hacienda in its heyday.  Hope you enjoy this Stuart.

David Holmes Essential Mix 1997.

http://soundcloud.com/djmixes/david-holmes-essential-mix-of-the-year-1997

This is one of the most popular Essential mixes of all time.  And one of the handful which was given its own CD release.  I can remember being totally blown away by this mix.  Like most people I was expecting it to be one of his Techno sets.  Supposedly Pete Tong was gobsmacked when he first heard the mix.  I will at some point post some of David Holmes Techno mixes because they are very good as well.

I only ever heard him play out once myself.  That was at the Bomb in Nottingham.  Where he played one of his funk type sets.  It was an amazing night with a very close friend in a cool venue.

It seems a bit odd that David Holmes is now a big time Hollywood soundtrack person.

EC 1 & Choci - Give It To Me

Another favourite with Pete Wardman. I think he also put this on his Trade album. Also remixed by Glenn Miller who was featured on the blog a few weeks ago.

Bang The Future A TardisTo Brooklyn

This is one of the best of the harder records from the 90s. Still sounding good today. A big favourite with Pete Wardman who put it on his Trade album.

Laurent Garnier Essential Mix 1995

Laurent Garnier has always been one of my favourite DJs.  The way he is always pushing forward and developing his sound is an inspiration.  His Laboraoir Garnier double mix with React Records is still one of my favourite mixes ever.

Coming soon.

After the fantastic interview with DJ Glenn Miller (thanks Glenn) I have had back two more interviews back  which I will be posting over the next month.  They are with the absolute legend that is Graeme Park (The Hacienda) and the king of hard house Andy Farley.

Weekly Wood News from FF.

Heres a cheeky 'Flyer' for FF from the 90s.  If anyone has copies of the legendary FF magazine please get in touch.

Doc Martin - Cream 1995.

http://www.mediafire.com/?wh7mdb0u113fmu4

Hers a blast from the past.  American DJ Doc Martin live at Cream in 1995.  During the 90s he was pretty big in the UK.  Playing on a regular basis at Cream, Basics, Fabric and Ministry.

Not sure if he is still playing out anymore.  He was due to play at Basics in Leeds a year or so ago,  But cancelled at the last minute.  I got impression the gig was cancelled due to health reasons.  I may be wrong.

Anyway enjoy the mix.
