To start this weeks Alan Thompson week here is a fantastic live mix of him from Trade in 1996. I always loved the early hours at Trade. Alan Thompson and Malcolm Duffy deserve more credit than they get.
Trade was never about Hardhouse all night. The more funky / house / tribal music for the first 3 hours was essential for getting you into the groove.

Enjoy.
My memories of the few times I went to Trade in 91 are of a lot of garage/Italo house and not so much of the harder stuff, but it was beginning to shift the last time I visited toward the end of that year. These are some tracks I can remember:
ReplyDeleteSimone - My Family Depends On Me
Kim Syms - Too Blind To See It
Hunter Hayes - It's Not Over
Jinny - Keep Warm
Jesus Loves You - Generations of Love
Secchi - I Say Yeah
D-Rail - Bring it On Down
Afrika Bambaataa - Just Get Up & Dance
