I hope your all having a chilled Sunday. I was supposed to be doing a try dive this morning but overslept so missed it. Ho hum.
This Sunday I am posting a link to one of the most chilled and popular Essential mixes ever. When Air were approached to do an Essential mix they got a bit confused and did a 4 hour mix instead of a two hour one. Lucky us!
Part 2 next Sunday.

Tony De vit winner of the 90s blog DJ poll 2011.
In celebration of Tony De Vit winning the best DJ poll here is a fab link to a mix of his.
Im not sure of the exact details of where the set took place. All I know is its on Facebook and was supposedly remastered by Ian M. Talk about lethal combination.
Enjoy.

DJ poll. And the winner is...
Tony De Vit with 26%.
Followed by...
Andrew Weatherall with 16%
Sasha with 8%
Blu Peter with 7%
Malcom Duffy with 7%
Pete Wardman with 6%
Mrs Wood and Steve Thomas with 3%
Sven Vath with 2%
Danny tenaglia and Smokin Jo with 2%
Trevor Rockcliffe and Ian M both with 1%
Tall Paul had one vote and Jose Padilla, Junior Vasquez, Danny Rampling and Daz Saund surprisingly had no votes.
Altogether there were 142 votes. Obviously not in the same league as the annual DJ Magazine poll. But not a bad start for the first poll on the blog.
Watch out later in the year for polls on favourite clubs, live act, female DJs, record label, remix and etc.
Many thanks to all 142 of you who took the time to vote. Take care and hope to see you on the dance floor at the forthcoming club night. More details to come.

Chill Out (Complete Mix) - The KLF
This is one of the greatest chill out records ever. Here it is in its complete version on Youtube. I used to love listening to this when home from a club. I remember walking home after a heavy night, it was about 6am and i had this on my walkman. It sounds a bit silly now but walking through the woods listening to this as the sun was just starting to wake up was a really lovely moment.

DJ Graeme Park Interview Part two.
DJ Graeme Park Interview Part 2.
Favourite remixer?
Favourite own remix?
I change my mind all the time, but right now it's "Come Fly With Me" DJ Pierre.
Favourite all time 90s club?
The Haçienda (until it sadly closed)
What clubs do you play at now?
I play all over the UK and beyond. Find out where by visiting http://thisisgraemepark.com
I used to regularly do 6 hours every other month at Renaissance at The Cross in London but often played longer at obscure underground parties. I've done 12 hours before.
Have you ever played in Ibiza? if so when, where and what was it like?
Regularly since 1989. An incredible place. It's changed a lot now though. It used to be about the club and the DJ but now it's more about the brand.
Many thanks Graeme for the interview. For more info, updates and mixes from him go to the following links:

Which DJs really inspired you?
Frankie Knuckles, Tony Humphries and Marley Marl.
